Our growers work closely with Perfection Fresh to ensure every mango is responsibly nurtured using best-practice horticulture — from water usage to pest management. Calypso® Mangoes are a specific mango variety scientifically known as the B74… but Calypso® Mango sounds so much better! Perfection Fresh owns the marketing rights, while the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and Just Avocados Pty Ltd developed and own the variety itself. Perfection Fresh control and manage the growing and propagation process to ensure that all Calypso® Mangoes meet our criteria for the perfect mango.
Each mango season begins with blossoms — and a whole lot of sunshine. Our growers carefully monitor weather and soil to make sure every tree is primed for juicy fruit.
Calypso® Mangoes are picked by hand at just the right time. Each region is harvested at its peak so you get consistent flavour and ripeness all season long.
Once harvested, mangoes are washed, graded, and packed with care. Only mangoes that meet our “Perfect Mango” standards make it into a Calypso® box.
